The World Trade Organization is an intergovernmental organization commenced on 1 January 1995 under the Marrakesh Agreement. It aims to liberalise international trade. It is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. Presently, it has over 160 members representing 98 percent of world trade.
