The three factors responsible for the inventions of new printing techniques were:

• In ancient times, manuscripts were handwritten. It took lots of time even to make one manuscript. It didn’t fulfil the demand of the books as the process of handwritten was very slow.

• It was difficult to copy books as it was expensive, time-consuming and required a large amount of labour.

• Handwritten documents were cheap in quality as compared to the printed one.
