Why are forests considered "biodiversity hot spots"? List two ways in which an individual can contribute effectively to the management of forests and wildlife.

Forests are considered as biodiversity hot spots because these are similar to biodiversity which refers to the variability among living organisms and diversity within species, between species and of ecosystems.

The two ways in which an individual can contribute effectively to the management of forests and wildlife are as follows-

a) As individual one should try to make less of consumption of forest products and focus on reduce, reuse, recycle concept.

b) One should follow the rules laid down by government in particular areas and should stop unauthorize cutting of forests to preserve the habitat of wild animals.
