(a) (i) The above lines are from the story “I sell my dreams”. A woman named Frau Frieda is speaking here to the narrator Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

(ii) When Frieda visited and met with narrator she advised him to leave Vienna straight away. The woman’s skills were known to the narrator before when she told him about her family. So the narrator was convinced by her talents and left for the Rome the same night. He had not gone back to Vienna since then.

(b) (i) “I” is being referred to the poet “Kamla Das” of the poem “blood”. She promised to herself that when she gets old and becomes rich she will remake her house. The walls of her house which are fallen down she will rebuilt it and make it in a new ancient house.

(ii) No the poet doesn’t fulfill the promise as she grows up knowing that making money is not easy. She feels guilty that she couldn’t protect and rebuilt the 300 years old house of her grandmother before her death as she is not powerful enough to save it.

(c) (i) The speaker is PRAKRITI who asks ‘you’ (mother) to bring him back by casting her spells. She asks her to use her cruelest spells to bring him wherever he is so that he can never escape her.

(ii) The speaker’s attitude towards him is very inquisitive. She tells mother to bring him back at any cost. He has supposed to do something wrong with the speaker for which she doesn’t want to show pity for him. She asks her to chant her cruelest spell and should bring him to her anyhow and after which she will never let him go no matter how much he tries to escape.
