An object of 5cm tall is placed at a distance of 10cm from a concave mirror of radius of curvature 30cm

i) Find the nature, position and size of the image


ii) Draw the ray diagram to represent the above case.


Given,


Height of object (ho) = 5cm


Object length (u) = -10cm


Radius of curvature (R) =-30 cm


The focal length of the mirror is given by,





According to mirror formula,







Hence, the image formed is virtual and behind the mirror.

And the magnification is also given by





So, the image formed is magnified and erect.
