Which are the two main climatic factors responsible for soil formation?

Soil formation is the complex and time taking process. It may take many decades to form one small particle of the soil. The two climatic conditions which are responsible for the soil formation are:

• Rain

The rain increases the water level in the rivers and lakes. The soil is washed to the shore by means of rivers and lakes. The water makes the soil very clear from rocks and other heavy particles and forms the soil in the shore and banks.

Temperature

The temperature plays a very important role in the fertility of the soil. The temperature is the main reason for the growth of plants and trees. When the temperature is favourable then the plants and trees can be grown easily and thus fertility of soil increase.
