Domestic Violence Act of 2006.

According to the Domestic Violence Act of 2006, the term domestic includes all those women who live or have lived together in a shared household with a male member who is instigating violence. Domestic violence refers to the injury or harm or a threat to injury or harm caused by an adult male (husband) against his wife. It includes physically beating up his wife or emotionally abusing her. Abusing also includes economic, sexual and verbal abusing.
