What is the difference between the condition of a farmer working on his own field and a landless farmer?

The difference between the two are :

Landless Farmers:

1. Landless or marginal farmers lack the resources to either buy or lease more land or invest in farm infrastructure—irrigation, power, farm machinery, etc.—to compensate for the scarcity of land.

2. They are depended on rain as they are insufficient to avail the irrigation pumps.

3. They mainly work on the field as a tenant and that leaves them at the mercy of the landowners.

Landowners:

1. They are rich farmers, who have sufficient money to purchase the resources and this helps them in keeping their living high.

2. They do not depend on rain as they usually set up irrigation pumps on their farms.

3. They employ labourers on their field.
