Work out the formula for magnesium hydrogencarbonate.

The valency of magnesium is 2 and that of hydrogen carbonate(HCO3) is 1. So according to the valencies of both the elements present in magnesium hydrogencarbonate, the formula becomes Mg(HCO3)2.
