What are (i) ionic compounds, and

(ii) molecular compounds? Give two examples of each type of compounds.

(i) Ionic compounds- The compounds which are formed by the combination of metals and non-metals are called ionic compounds. For example- NaCl, CaCl2.

(i) Molecular Compounds- These compounds are formed by the combination of two non-metal elements. For ex. HCl and H2SO4.
