Where is good ozone present? Why is it called so?

Good ozone is present in the stratosphere that is the upper part of the atmosphere. UV rays are harmful to live cells and organisms. They are highly injurious to health because DNA and proteins of living cells absorb UV rays.The good ozone layer provides protection to live cells and organisms and absorbs ultraviolet radiation from the sun, hence called good ozone.
