2. The ethnic conflict of Sri Lanka is that it had not adopted the principle of equality rather it focused on majoritarianism. It was difficult to maintain a balance between the two groups of Tamils and Sinhalese. Sri Lanka followed the principle of majoritarianism and the Tamils felt ignored.


3. In spite of this ethnic problem, Sri Lanka had successfully managed to control the rate of growth of the population. They witnessed the highest GDP. They were able to liberalize the economy as well as maintain the democratic system.
