Non market transactions- These are those activities which are primarily undertaken for the purpose of self-consumption. These activities don't give profit as they are for self-consumption. However, it can also include transactions that happen in the black or the unorganized market due to which they are not taxed. Hence, they are not accounted for in the GDP as they do not come under the gambit of an organized market.

For example: Kitchen gardening, domestic services rendering by house wife, leisure time activities, illegal drugs sales etc.
