The rainfall on a certain day was 6 cm. How many litres of water fell on 3 hectares of field on that day?

Given,

Area of field = 3 hectare = 3×10000 m2 = 30000 m2

Depth of water on the field = 6 cm =

∴ volume of water = area of field × depth of water

= 30000 × 0.06 = 1800 m3
