A cube of side 4 cm contains a sphere touching its side. Find the volume of the gap in between.

Volume of a cube = side3

Volume of a sphere = (4/3)πr3

Given, cube of side 4 cm contains a sphere touching its side

Radius of the sphere = 4/2 = 2 cm

Volume of the gap in between = 43 - (4/3)π × 23

⇒ Volume of the gap in between = 30.48 cm3
