Therefore, Mean =

Therefore, sum of deviation of values from their mean


= (3 – 7) + (4 – 7) + (6 – 7) + (7 – 7) + (8 – 7) + (14 – 7)


= (-4) + (-3) + (-1) + (0) + (1) + (7)


= - 8 + 8
