Q3 of 30 Page 109

A trolley, while going down an inclined plane, has an acceleration of 2 cm s-2. What will be its velocity 3 s after the start?

Given,

Initial velocity, u = 0

Final velocity, v =?

Acceleration, a = 2 cm/s2

And,

Time, t = 3 s

We know that,

v = u + at

= 0 + 2 × 3

= 6 cm/s

Therefore, after 3 seconds the velocity of trolley will be 6 cm/s.
