Q7 of 68 Page 30

How will you distinguish between the following pairs of terms:

Crystal lattice and unit cell?

Crystal lattice

Unit cell:

Orderly three-dimensional arrangement of atoms in space is called crystal lattice. It is a diagrammatic representation of constituent particles, such as atoms, ions or molecules of a solid.

The smallest unit of a crystal lattice is called the unit cell.
