Three major challenges of non-democratic countries:

1. Foundational challenge: They have to shift to a democratic and sovereign government that would stop any internal power to control the government.

2. Challenge of expansion: The principles of democracy should reach every region and social group. There should be no discrimination and local governments should be given more power.

3. Deepening of democracy: People’s participation in the decision-making has to be strengthened. The influence of the powerful and the wealthy should be brought down.
