What are decomposers? List two important roles they play in the environment. 2

Decomposers are defined as the microorganisms which converts complex organic substances into simpler substances. These substances then mix with the soil and are used as nutrients.


The two important roles that decomposers play in the environment are as follows:


1. They helps in recycling the materials in the biosphere.


2. Decomposes dead plants and animals and therefore cleans the environment.
