Two equal cubes with sides 6 cm are placed one above the other, forming a cuboid. Find the total surface area of the cuboid thus formed.

Side of the cube = 6 cm
... Length of the cuboid = 6 + 6 = 12 cm
Breadth of the cuboid = 6 cm
and height = 6 cm 
Total surface area = 2(lb + bh + hl) 
       = 2(12 x 6 + 6 x 6 + 6 x 12)
        = 360 cm2
