What distinguishes Pole Star from other stars? Explain.

Pole Star (or ‘Dhruva Tara') appears stationary in the celestial sphere unlike other stars which seem to be moving.Pole Star has been one of the most familiar stars to travelers in earlier times to find directions at night. It appears stationary because it is situated in the north direction along the axis of rotation of the earth.
