(ii) a consonant

There are 13 letters in the word ‘ASSASSINATION’ which contains 6 vowels and 7 consonants.

The sample space here will have all the letters of the word ASSASSINATION


So here n(S) = 13


(i) Let A be the event of selecting a vowel


n(A) = 6



(ii) Let A be the event of selecting the consonant


n(A)= 7
