What are the stories regarding the origin of the Kodavu people?

Kodavu people were said to have Greek or Arabic origin. When Alexander came near India, a part of his army came south because return was too dangerous. They married the locals and kept alive their culture like marriage rituals. Arab origin was because of the long black coat called kuppia worn by them which was like the kuffia worn by Arabs and Kurds.
