(a) Geographic Area


Every Country has its own unique territorial extent, like the physical features, natural resources etc. Two countries might not be surrounded by the same countries. And these factors form a crucial part while framing the foreign policies.


Example : Both India and Pakistan differ in their geographic area, and both are surrounded by different other countries, hence foreign policies of both nations are also not same.


(b) Interdependence


No country is fully prosperous, poor, rich or developed and developing each are dependent upon one another for different reasons. This is called as interdependence. And similarly as per the interdependency nations frame their foreign policies.


(c) Foreign Policy


The more prosperous is the nation, less it is dependent on others for resources. A country which has greater access to the resources are less dependent upon others. These economic factors play an important role in framing the foreign policy.
