(a) Peshawar – Chandra Sing Thakur refused to open fire

Chandra Sing Thakur was an officer of the Grahwal Rifles. When the British Government ordered to open fire against the Satyagrahis at Peshawar, he did not do. So, the British punished him severely and he was court-martialed. The Satyagraha movement at Peshawar was led by Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan.

(b) Dharasana – Sarojini Naidu led the Satyagraha

Gandhiji led the Satyagraha movement. However, when the British arrested him on 4^th May 1930, Sarojini Naidu led the movement from Dharasana in Gujarat.

(c) Mumbai – Babu Genu’s sacrifice

The Civil Disobedience Movement was also against the sale of foreign goods in India. Babu Genu was a mill worker in Mumbai. He protested against a truck which was carrying foreign goods. He lied down in front of the truck. As a result, he was crushed under the truck.

(d) Pune - A pact was signed between Gandhiji and Dr. Ambedkar

Dr. Ambedkar asked for separate electorates for the Dalits and it was declared. Gandhiji started to fast until death against it. Hence, for the sake of our country, Dr. Ambedkar reconsidered his demand and signed a pact with Gandhiji at Pune in the year 1932. This is known as the ‘Pune Pact’.
