We know that Force applied on a wire in a magnetic field is given by

F = BIL


Where;


B = Magnetic field;


I = Current in the wire;


L = Length of the wire;


In our question B = ?;


I = 40A;


L = 20cm = 0.2m (1m = 100cm);


F = 8N;


⇒ 8 = B x 40 x 0.2;


⇒ 8 = B x 8;
