Helen, the ghost, has been helping the narrator with ghost stories because he was keen on writing them but lacked ideas. But she was going on strike, along with other ghosts because they were fed up with the way humans treated them. They were being summoned too often and they are forced to leave their beds. They left haunting to answer questions on the Ouija board. Helen promises to help the narrator only if he gets his friends and acquaintances to stop using the Ouija board.
