Q1 of 53 Page 207

A body is moving with a velocity of 10 m/s. If it starts acceleration with the rate of 2.5 m/s2. Find out its velocity after 10s.

Using the first equation of motion: v = u + at

where: v = final velocity
u = initial velocity = 10 m/s
a = acceleration = 2.5 m/s2
t = time = 10s

v = 10 m/s + 2.5 m/s2 x 10s = 10+25 m/s = 35 m/s
