Both carnivores and parasites depend on other animals for food. In what way is a carnivore different from a parasite?

Both carnivorous and parasites, of course, depend upon animals for their food, but parasites are the organisms which depend on another organism for many other things also. Parasites look for shelter and growth in other organisms. They take nutrition from animals by sucking.

On the other hand, carnivorous are those animals which have the ability to kill and eat other animals. They eat the animal instead of taking Shelters and only eat them in meat form.
