How does something become a resource?

1. A material that has some value or need is regarded as a resource. Hence when a material or substance or object has some utility or value and can be converted into something worthwhile, it is called a resource.

2. In simple words, anything that is of some use to mankind can be called a resource.


3. For example, the Sun is a part of our solar system and has existed even before humankind came into existence, but it was called a resource because people came up with solar technology to harness the energy of the Sun.
