Speech on citizens right to good governance.

A good governance means effective and efficient administration in a democracy. A state performs its function efficiently, incorruptibility and responses to the demands of the citizens.

In a democracy, it is citizens’ right to be in a state of good governance and fulfilling this right is the duty of the state.

The characteristics of good governance are the participation of the majority; the decisions are taken with consensus, accountability of the government, transparent government and public working, equitable, inclusive etc.

By providing the above-mentioned characteristics, the state ensures good governance for its citizens.
