Two inland waterways and its characteristics:

Ganga River:

1. Starts from Allahabad till Haldia

2. It is the National Waterway No.1

3. It is 1620 km long

Brahmaputra River:

1. Starts from Sadiya until Dhubri

2. It is the National Waterway No. 2

3. It is 891 km long

Explanation: Even though India has a 14,500 km long inland waterway that are navigational, only 3,700 km long of it is accessible through mechanized boats.
