Lines 14 - 15 - The autumn season is sitting on a granary floor (storage of crops) carelessly as it seems that it has nothing to do after harvesting and now just chilling out. It is personified as a "woman" whose hair is so light and soft which are being blown away by the winnowing wind. "Winnowing" is a process of separating grains from the dirt with the help of wind.

Lines 16 - 17 - The autumn season is personified as a woman who seems to be taking nap (sleep) on the furrow of a field. The autumn is intoxicated (drunk) by the smell of poppy flowers that was going to be harvested.

Lines 17 - 18 - The autumn season seems drunk on the smell of poppy( drug) flowers which are being harvested by them then she doesn’t used the “hook” (sickle which is being used to cut the flowers) and hence the flowers are saved for now to get cut as she hasn’t gotten to the next “swatch” (sample) of flowers.

Lines 18 - 19 - The autumn season is called a “gleaner” here by a way of metaphor. Gleaners are those people who pick up pieces of grains after the harvesting process is done. Autumn is bending her head down like a gleaner and seems to pick up the grains from the ground.

Lines 21 - 22 - In these lines, the poet is saying to look out for the autumn in the "cider-press" where she is having a patient look on how the fruits have been squeezed there to obtain juices. The autumn can now sit patiently watching the “oozing” (fluid from the fruits) for hours and hours.
