How can community and government go hand in hand to protect the wildlife? Explain with example.

Human beings pose the greatest threat to wildlife.. Various human activities like hunting, pollution, cutting down of forests etc has led to extinction of some of the wildlife and continue to do so. Community can play a major role by being a part of government initiatives and both can go hand in hand in conservation programmes.

For example,

1. Community can conduct awareness programme about wild life preservation.

2. Community can promise individual no to indulge in hunting or cutting down trees.

3. Community can report to police if any one violates laws regarding wildlife is found.

4. Wildlife tourism can be developed with the help of locals.
