For the equation , the sum of the real roots is


given |x|2+|x|- 6 = 0

When x > 0


It can be written as x2 + x – 6 = 0


(x+3)(x-2) = 0


X = 2


When x < 0


It can be written as x2 - x – 6 = 0


(x-3)(x+2) = 0


X = - 2


Therefore x = ± 2


Hence sum of the roots = 0.
