Explain the structure of the Legislative Assembly.

The Legislative Assembly or the Vidhan Sabha is the Lower House of the State Legislature. The Legislative Assembly consists of members who represent the general population of a State. The number of seats in the Assembly depends on the number of residents in a State where the maximum number seats cannot exceed 500 or be less than 60(except in smaller states). The Governor can also appoint an Anglo Indian member to ensure that they are not left out.
