Given that water and Dettol ratio is 5:1 and the mixture is 36 liters.


So, volume of Dettol


We have, Volume of water


According to given questions:


Let “x” liters of Dettol be added.


Ratio of measurement of water and Dettol is 3:1


So,



⇒ 30 = 3(6+x)


⇒ 18 + 3x = 30


⇒ 3x = 30-18


⇒ 3x = 12


⇒ x = 4


So, 4 liters Dettol should be added to mixture.
