Classify industries on the basis of capital investment.

On the basis of capital investment, industries are classified into two – small scale industry and large scale industries. The maximum investment allowed on the assets of each type of unit has changed over time. But generally, small scale industries have lesser investment, smaller output and employs and large scale industries have a larger investment, more output and employ a significant number of individuals.
