Which feature is common to most of the democratic countries?

The following features are common in all democratic countries:

a. Democracy is a form of government by the people. The people have the right to elect their leaders.


b. All the citizens of a country who have attained the age of 18 years are eligible to vote. This is called the Universal Adult Franchise. All the people of the desired age are allowed to vote with complete disregard to their gender, religion, caste, etc.


c. The elections are held at regular intervals of time in a free and fair manner.


d. All the political leaders have the right to put forward their agenda to the voters.


e. A ruling body is responsible for supervising the election process such as the Election Process in India.
