Suggest a few ways in which political reforms can be made in India.

The following ways can be implemented for political reforms in our country:

a. It should be compulsory for a political party to give a minimum of one-third of -the tickets to the women candidates.

b. There should be a separate quota for women in the decision-making body.

c. The government should be responsible for giving the parties the money required to support the election cost. For example the expense of petrol, paper, etc.

d. A law should be made to regulate the internal affair of the political parties.

e. The MPS and MLA should not be allowed to change the party. This would help to reduce defection.

f. The influence of criminals should be reduced. It must be important for every person contesting in the elections to give an affidavit regarding his criminal cases pending against him if any.

G. It should be compulsory for every political party to submit its audited financial statements annually.
