Here, the maximum number of packets i.e. 26 have weight in the interval 201 – 202.


So, the modal class is 201 – 202.

frequency (f1) of the modal class = 26


frequency (f0) of class preceding the modal class = 12


frequency (f2) of class succeeding the modal class = 20


Now, let us substitute these values in the above mode formula






= 201 + 0.7


= Rs 201.7
