Possibilism is different from Environmental Determinism in the given manner:

● Possibilism is a term given by earlier scholars. Over time, humans have been able to develop better forms of technology. This gave him many choices and possibilities to use the resources given by the environment. They were free to use natural resources according to their necessities. Man has been able to develop sites on fields, lawns, highlands, orchards, etc.


● Environmental determinism refers to the situation of the early stages of human evolution. There was no technology to modify the environment by man. The humans adapted to dictates of nature. He became afraid of nature and worshipped the forces of nature such as fire and rain.
