Explain the three factors that influence the distribution of population.

The distribution of population is done based on three factors.

• Physical factors which consist of soil, water, availability of resources, vegetation etc. The areas where the facilities like availability of energy resources, water will attract many more people thus acting as a pull factor and so the population will increase. It provides people with different types of economic activities.


• Social and cultural factors also affect population density. The places which have religious, cultural and historical significance tend to attract more people. People tend t move away from the areas which have social and political unrest.


• Economic factors owing to an educational institute, grater employment facilities, luxurious amenities which attract people. People have a passion for better life with a lot of academic facilities. The population density increases as the facilities increases in an area which provides better quality life with various opportunities.
