Where do minerals occur in igneous and metamorphic rocks?

In igneous and metamorphic rocks the minerals are generally found in the cracks, faults, crevices or joints of these rocks. These minerals enter into the rocks in their liquid, molten or gaseous state when they are forced upwards through the cavities and towards the surface of the earth.
