Write the main reason for the stability of colloidal sols.

Colloidal particles show Brownian motion i.e. the zig-zag random motion of colloidal particles due to unequal bombardment of particles by molecules of dispersion medium. It has a stiring effect that it does not permit the particles to settle and thus responsible for stability of colloids.
