Find the area of canvas required for a conical tent of height 24 m and base radius 7 m.

We have,


Height of conical tent = 24 m


Radius of its base = 7 m


Slant height of cone l = √(r2+h2) = √(242+72) = √625 = 25 m


Area of canvas required = πrl = 22/7×7×25 = 550 m2
