Find the perimeter of the adjoining figure, which is a semicircle including its diameter.

From the figure, we have


Diameter = 10 cm


∴ Radius =


= 5 cm


Length of the curved part = πr


= × 5


= 15.71 cm


∴ Total perimeter of the given figure = Length of the curved part + Length of the diameter


= 15.71 + 10


= 25.71 cm
