Q16 of 43 Page 223

How many times a wheel of radius 28 cm must rotate to go 352 m?

It is given in the question that,

Total distance to be covered by wheel = 352 m

Radius of wheel = 28 cm

Circumference of the circle = 2r

= 2 × × 28

= 2 × 22 × 4

= 176 cm

Hence,

Number of rotations =

= 200

∴ The wheel will rotate 200 times
