Name any two small-scale industries that can be the source of particulate air pollution.

The following sources are the sources of the particulate air pollution:


1. Brick-Kiln-industries - Several harmful gases are emitted; like carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide and oxides of nitrogen. Particulate matter is also released as a result of burning of coal in the brick kilns.


2. Textile industries - These industries employ diesel generators and boilers. The pollutants - suspended particulate matter, sulphur dioxide and oxides of nitrogen - are released into the air.
